Dan Sloan is a junior at the University of Mississippi, pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Mathematics, along with dual emphases in Financial Economics and Law. He has been actively involved in the CEED Initiative since fall 2022, participating in economic development events such as the Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forums, tours of the Mississippi Delta, and listening to keynote speakers from across the state. As part of the CEED program, Dan completed a summer internship with the Oxford Lafayette Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and another with the Mississippi Development Authority in 2024. He plans to pursue graduate studies to further his passion for economics before embarking on a public service career focused on benefiting the national economy. In addition to his involvement with CEED, Dan serves as the Vice President of Operations for the Honors College Ambassadors, the Principal of Academic Affairs for the Associated Student Body, and is an active member of the Ole Miss Economics Association and the MPower Extended Orientation Program. In his free time, he volunteers at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts and enjoys skipping rope.
