Khushi Patel, a native of Olive Branch, Mississippi, is in her third year at the University of Mississippi, pursuing a B.A. in Psychology. After graduation, she plans to attend a Physician Assistant program and, as a CEED Scholar, hopes to gain valuable experience through the Grisham-McLean Institute. While in Oxford, Khushi has co-coached a U-12 children’s soccer team for three seasons and will begin her fourth season this fall. She has also volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club of North Mississippi, supervising K-12 children after school. This year, Khushi will work as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Bilsky’s psychology lab (PANDAA), which focuses on substance use disorders in parents and adolescents, examining how these challenges impact their anxiety. Through the CEED program, Khushi hopes to deepen her understanding of business and entrepreneurship, with the long-term goal of opening her own practice as a PA. To achieve this, she plans to graduate early in the winter of 2025.
