As a civics-oriented Luckyday Scholar, community service is a core principle for him, making his involvement in the CEED Innovation Scholars program through the Grisham-McLean Institute a natural next step. Vishnu is engaged in various campus organizations, including his role as Compost Collective Coordinator, working as a Green Student Intern through the Office of Sustainability. In the summer of 2024, as part of the CEED program, he interned with the Base Camp Coding Academy in Water Valley, MS, where he conducted and presented research on AI ethics. Vishnu is committed to helping students succeed, serving as a biology Supplemental Instructor and an AmeriCorps Mission Acceleration tutor for local Kindergarten through 5th graders. After completing his bachelor's degree and law school, Vishnu plans to pursue a career in environmental law, advocating for public access to clean water, land, and air through litigation and education. His experience as an Innovation Scholar will provide him with the tools to assist underserved communities and take proactive steps toward creating a cleaner, greener world.
