    Alyssa Freeman, from Tupelo, Mississippi, graduated from Shannon High School and earned her associate degree from Itawamba Community College (ICC). While at ICC, Alyssa was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, served as an orientation leader, participated in the Honors College, and was involved with Sigma Kappa Delta. Upon transferring to the University of Mississippi, she became highly active in her first semester, joining clubs such as the Black Student Union, the Student Social Work Organization, and UM Esteem. She is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Alyssa is currently a senior majoring in Social Work. She was a 2024-2025 MOST Mentor at the University of Mississippi during the summer. Through the CEED program, Alyssa aims to focus on empowering surrounding communities by creating valuable assets and raising awareness about the various challenges they face on a daily basis.
