Study Abroad
Croft students take their language study and regional focus into the world, spending at least one semester abroad that challenges them to learn with greater independence, confidence, and purpose.
Where Study Becomes Experience
Study Where Your Chosen Language Is Spoken
Croft students spend at least one semester abroad in a country connected to their language study and regional concentration. There, they take courses in the language they are learning alongside local students, building the academic confidence and cultural understanding that come from studying a region from within it.
Engage Directly With Global Systems
Study abroad gives Croft students a closer view of the institutions, histories, economies, and social dynamics they study on campus. As they follow local news, navigate daily life, use another currency, and learn from the people and places around them, students see how global systems shape real communities, decisions, and opportunities.
Learn Beyond the Classroom
Study abroad asks Croft students to apply their preparation in real time. As they move through classes, conversations, travel, and daily responsibilities in another country, they build independence, adaptability, and the confidence to learn in unfamiliar settings.
Some students also pursue internships abroad, extending their learning into professional and community settings where language, independence, and cultural understanding matter every day.
Choose a Place That Fits Your Path
Croft students prepare for study abroad with advisors who understand the program’s requirements and the questions families bring to the process. Together, they choose from universities and programs that have been carefully researched, reviewed, and visited by faculty, helping students find a setting that supports their language study, coursework, and long-term goals.
