Our goal is collaboration
We seek to work collaboratively with community and faculty partners to meet common economic, social, and community development needs. These partnerships are voluntary and open to all who are committed to achieving a common goal. If you are interested in joining our work and becoming a partner, please review the information below.
Partnering with CREW
There are many benefits to partnering with CREW. As part of our collaborative approach, however, we also have requirements for our partners in an effort to ensure we are moving CREW and our efforts forward. If you are interested in partnering with us, be sure to review these benefits and requirements.
Community Benefits
- External Funding: CREW and our faculty partners can assist with grant writing, research expertise and reporting.
- Facilitation: We can arrange for research training, connect you with faculty and facilitate research processes.
Community Requirements
- Recognition: Our community partners must recognize CREW and any associated faculty or community members in public events or programming.
- Outreach: Our partners should conduct at least two public outreach events in your communities in partnership with CREW team members of faculty to share project findings.
Faculty Benefits
- External Funding: CREW staff will work with you to navigate the writing and submission process for all proposals involving CREW or our partners.
- Increased Visibility: We can help increase your visibility to both professional organizations and community partners by assisting you in the development and publication of research or project highlights.
- Facilitate Partnerships: We have a number of partnerships through which we can initiate or facilitate conversations about joint research interests to improve the impact of your research.
- Broader Impact Statements: We can help you articulate the broader impacts of your research and partner with communities to design plans for research application.
- Tenure & Promotion: We can help you highlight community based work in your yearly reporting efforts.
Faculty Requirements
- External Funding: Faculty partners must commit to submitting at least one external funding application in partnership with CREW.
- Non-Academic Publications: Faculty partners must produce at least one public facing non-academic publications (blog post, Op Ed, Policy Brief, etc.).
- Participation: We also ask that faculty partners participate in at least one CREW sponsored event.
