Research & Reports
CREW’s research includes efforts around health and wellness, community policy and food systems.
Our Research Approach
CREW research projects are conducted using community-based participatory research, a method that brings together scientific researchers and community members to collaboratively address conditions and disparities that affect vulnerable groups.
This approach requires researchers and community members to work as equal partners in all stages of the process, including needs assessment, data collection and narrative building. Through community-based participatory research, communities become active agents in research, decision-making and action, learning the tools to become more resilient in the future, independent of CREW’s help.
By integrating community members into the research process, our goal is to ignite social change."
