Campus Recreation Summer Youth Camps introduce children (ages 6–12) to a variety of sport and recreational activities in a friendly, safe, and inclusive environment.

Summer Youth Camp Staff
All activities are led by Department of Campus Recreation professional staff, graduate assistants, and student staff. All camp staff are first aid and CPR certified and will have undergone a university administered background check as well as Supervision of Minors training.

We hope to provide each child with age-appropriate instruction, education, and activity opportunities to grow physically, mentally, and socially while at camp.

Campus Recreation's Summer Youth Camps offer five action-packed days of fun-filled programming in Oxford, MS.
Summer Youth Camp sessions for Summer 2025 have now concluded. Summer 2026 information will tentatively be released in January 2026.
General Camp: Half-Day & Full-Day Options
Get ready for an action-packed day at our half-day summer camp, where campers can enjoy a variety of exciting activities! From sports and outdoor adventure challenges to aquatics and fitness games, every camper will experience something new and fun each day. Our camp focuses on building teamwork, confidence, and a love for staying active, all while having a blast in a safe and supportive environment. Whether they’re splashing in the pool, scaling a rock wall, or playing team sports, your child will make unforgettable memories and friends this summer!
*Campers for full-day camp must bring a packed lunch with them. Campus Recreation will not be providing lunch.
Adventure & Aquatics Half-Day Camp
Dive into adventure with our half-day Adventure and Aquatics-themed summer camp! Campers will enjoy a variety of exciting aquatic activities, including swimming, water games, and fun challenges in the pool, as well as thrilling outdoor adventure events like hiking, climbing the rock wall, and team-building games. With a focus on building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the outdoors, this camp offers the perfect mix of water fun and outdoor exploration. Get ready for an unforgettable week of splashing, adventuring, and making lasting memories!
Registration for summer 2026 will tentatively open January 2026.
Registration for each session ends the Wednesday before that session is scheduled to begin. Campers registered by 5 p.m. on May 1 will be guaranteed their preferred shirt size. Campers registered after that time will be provided a camp shirt, but we cannot guarantee sizing.
Pricing
Early-Bird Price (Before May 1):
- $150/camper - half day camp
- $350/camper - full day camp
Regular Price (Starting May 1):
- $200/camper - half day camp
- $400/camper - full day camp
Registration Process
- Submit a Registration Packet (Currently not available)
- One packet should be submitted for each camper.
- Please allow 2-3 business days for confirmation that your packet has been received after submission.
- After the registration packet has been received/reviewed you will receive a payment link to complete your registration.
- Registration spots will be reserved on a first-come first-serve basis to those that complete both payment and the registration packet.
Refund Policy
All refund requests should be submitted via email to campusreccamps@olemiss.edu.
If canceled ten (10) days prior to the start of a session – 50% of registration fee will be refunded.
If canceled nine (9) or less days prior to first day of the session start date – no refund will be given.
All campers receive one (1) Summer Youth Camps t-shirt included with registration. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15 each. Upon receiving their shirt, campers may choose to wear their shirt to any day of camp.
Daily Camp Schedule
Half-Day Camp
- 7:30-8 a.m.: Drop-Off
- 8 a.m.-Noon: Camp Activities
- Noon-12:30 p.m.: Pick-Up
Full-Day Camp
- 7:30-8 a.m.: Drop-Off
- 8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Camp Activities
- Campers must bring a packed lunch with them. Campus Recreation will not be providing lunch.
- 5-5:30 p.m.: Pick-Up
Activities
All activities are subject to change pending inclement weather and other factors such as staffing or facility availability. Campers will be split into 2 different age groups, 6-9 years old or 9-12 years old, in order to provide age-appropriate instruction and activity opportunities. Parents/guardians registering a camper that is nine (9) years old will have the opportunity to self-select which age group would best suit their camper’s needs.
General activities offered may include:

Adventure & Aquatic theme weeks may include:

- Outdoor Educational Activities
Camp activities will take place at the locations listed below. Drop-off and pick-up will occur at the same location, unless otherwise noted, for a given day. Camp locations will change throughout the week but will be clearly communicated to all parents/guardians in advance.
No transportation of campers in vehicles will occur for half-day sessions unless inclement weather or an emergency requires transportation by camp staff. All activities for a given day will remain at one (1) location for half-day sessions. Camp activities may be at multiple locations for the full-day session.
