Providing Outreach Services to Students, Faculty, and Staff and to the Surrounding Oxford Community

Outreach workshops and presentations focus on a variety of mental health issues and topics such as adjusting to away-from-home life, forming healthy habits, and building healthy relationships.  We also provide psycho-educational programs based on the needs of the Ole Miss community.

Our workshops and wellness events represent our commitment to proactively engage with University students, the greater Oxford community, and the communities of our regional campuses.

Our goal is to increase education about mental health, encourage students well-being, and promote UCC services on campus. We offer outreach programming on almost every topic relevant to mental health and the success our students and faculty.

Formats include presentations, panels, event support, displays, and “tabling” (setting up and manning tables at your location with pamphlets and UCC merchandise).

Counseling Center Outreach

The University Counseling Center (UCC) offers outreach services for students, faculty, and staff at Ole Miss. Our workshops and presentations cover important mental health topics, tailoring to the needs of the Ole Miss community. Through these events, we’re dedicated to helping students and the wider community learn more about mental health. We provide presentations, event support, and tabling.

Please allow up to 4 weeks notice for all outreach requests. We strive to meet all outreach demands but cannot guarantee that all will be completed.

Chancellor's Grove Well-being Initiative

The University Counseling Center (UCC) is proud to partner with the Chancellor's Grove Well-Being Initiative to promote mental health and wellness at Ole Miss. As part of this initiative, we offer weekly "Mindful Monday" videos to help students practice mindfulness and stay grounded throughout the semester. We also provide Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training, empowering the campus community to support those in need. In collaboration with the Jordan Porco Foundation, we host Fresh Check Day, a fun and interactive event focused on mental health awareness.
