Welcome to the University of Mississippi’s Interfraternity Council

For generations, our fraternities have been committed to developing leaders, building lifelong relationships, and challenging men to become the best versions of themselves. As leaders within the community, we strive to make the Interfraternity Council as great as it can be.

Greek life has long been a part of Ole Miss. The first fraternity chapter was founded in 1850, just two years after the University began operations. Since then, Ole Miss has grown into one of the largest fraternity communities in the country. Today, the University of Mississippi’s Interfraternity Council is made up of more than 3,500 students across 16 different fraternity chapters. Though we may have grown larger, our mission has never changed. Our community is committed to promoting the core values of our fraternities: academic excellence, connection and empowerment, civic engagement, personal and professional development, and health and wellness. These values have helped Ole Miss progress into becoming one of the most prestigious Greek life communities in the nation, drawing men from all over the country who seek the opportunity to become a part of something greater than themselves.

As the Interfraternity Council community continues to grow, the Executive Board is committed to providing the best experience possible for all members of every chapter. We work closely with chapter leaders, university administration, community leaders, and a variety of other members of the student body to ensure the best possible experience for all. We also communicate with these leaders to encourage academic success, promote accountability, and support the continued growth of our members’ personal and professional development. We recognize that continuing to maintain the prestige of our fraternity community requires responsibility, transparency, and a commitment to acting in the best interest of our members, as well as the best interests of the university. As President, I am committed to the continued growth of the Interfraternity Council community, as well as ensuring that students can confidently say that they have become better men due to the opportunities presented to them through fraternity life at the University of Mississippi.

Whether you are a parent, a prospective member, or a current member of our community, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at ifcpresident@olemiss.edu with any questions, concerns, or input that you may have.
