Care for Everyone
We're here to serve you
We understand that concerns about discrimination and being misunderstood contribute to your overall experience with a health care provider. We want to take those stressors away and focus on your health and well-being. Our promise to you is to continue to educate our staff and improve systems to welcome and serve all patients.
Steps we're taking to better serve all students
Our EHR system allows for patients to indicate their sex assigned at birth alongside their gender during the intake process. Our staff will use your name and/or pronoun during your visit.
We offer single stall, gender-neutral lockable restrooms located on the first and second floors of University Health Services.
We are partners with the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement and participate in events on campus to bring awareness to our services and support.
What to expect from us
We invite you to share openly and honestly with us. During office visits, we ask all patients questions relevant to their reason for the visit. This can cover topics such as personal medical history, use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, sexual behavior, and family medical history. We want you to feel comfortable. Please know that we are gathering this information to better meet your health needs.

Meet with your Spectrum: The Other Clinic provider, discuss your transition expectations/process, and develop an individualized plan to help you attain your authentic self. This initial visit will cover everything from hormone education, informed consent, what to expect, and more. Labs can be done at Student Health Serivces. Prescriptions are sent to your local pharmacy or mailed to your home, depending on your situation. This is the very first visit, and so it will take a bit longer to complete than the follow up visits.

After your initial visit with Spectrum: The Other Clinic, your provider will fax your lab orders to Student Health.
