EDHE 1001: Academic Skills for College
Academic Skills for College covers the development of academic skills, including time management, note taking, reading textbooks, preparing for and taking examinations, and orientation to university life.
- This course is required for new freshmen who fall below a 2.0 GPA at the end of their first semester at the University of Mississippi, and are required to take EDHE 1001 the following semester (Fall or Spring).
- 3 credit hours.
EDHE 2002: Fundamentals of Active Learning
Fundamentals of Active Learning is for students returning from academic suspension or dismissal that are required to enroll in EDHE 2002 during their first regular (fall or spring) semester of enrollment.
- Students must pass the class with a grade of ‘C’ or higher. Students who fail the class are required to repeat it.
- Those who earn a 2.0 semester GPA or higher are typically allowed to return to the university the following semester; those who get less than a 2.0 semester GPA will likely go on academic dismissal.
- 2 credit hours.
EDHE 3003: Academic Skills for Transfer Students
Academic Skills for Transfer Students helps transfer students develop academic skills, including time management, note taking, reading textbooks, preparing for and taking examinations, and orientation to university life.
- This course is required for new transfer students who fall below a 2.0 GPA at the end of their first semester at the University of Mississippi, and are required to take EDHE 3003 the following semester (Fall or Spring).
- 3 credit hours.
