Get Involved

Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, your involvement helps us provide essential food and resources to those in need within our community.

Support Grove Grocery with Your Donation

Your generous donations help us provide essential food and resources to those in need.

We have provided over 15,000 meals for the past two academic years. Without our generous donors, we would not be able to do such incredible work for our students faculty, and staff.

Online Contributions

If you would like to make a financial contribution online, please visit this link.

Contributions by Check

If you would like to make a financial contribution by check, please make checks payable to the University of Mississippi Foundation and mail to 406 University Ave., Oxford, MS 38655. Please write “Food Pantry” on the memo line.

Other Contributions

If you would like to make a contribution by cash or card, please email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu.

Grove Grocery has partnered with Ole Miss Dining and Aramark to allow students, faculty, and staff with extra meal swipes to donate them to those in need.

Physical donations may be left in the donation bins outside the Food Pantry (Room 213, Kinard Hall, 207 Rebel Dr) at any time. If you would like to make a large donation – or to donate frozen food, refrigerated food, or bread – please email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu in advance to coordinate a drop-off time.

While we are grateful for all donations, we especially appreciate items that are individually wrapped within the packaging so that we can distribute them to as many people as possible. For example, Tide Pods work better than powdered laundry detergent, and oatmeal packets work better than a large can of oatmeal.

Other Ways to Get Involved

Support Grove Grocery as an individual or part of a group.

We rely on volunteers to help Grove Grocery operate efficiently and effectively. Volunteers are responsible for staffing the pantry during operating hours, organizing the shelves and other areas of the facility, and aiding in data collection (such as administering surveys to patrons and weighing and recording outgoing food). Before volunteering, volunteers are required to complete confidentiality training.

If you would like to volunteer at the Food Pantry, please email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu or check out our social media (@GroveGrocery on Facebook and Instagram) to learn more.

Make Grab and Go Bags

Grove Grocery provides Grab and Go Bags 24/7 to ensure that people in urgent need of food can be fed at all times. Assembling Grab and Go Bags is great for community events. If you would like to help us assemble bags, please email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu to organize an event.

Additionally, feel free to email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu with recipe suggestions for future Grab and Go Bags. We are looking for recipes that could be made entirely from nonperishable items such as canned vegetables, canned meat/fish, canned/dried beans, canned fruit, dry pasta/rice, seasoning, etc.

Host a Food Drive

We are grateful to the many organizations that host food drives to benefit Grove Grocery. If you would like to host a food drive, email grovegrocery@go.olemiss.edu to coordinate.
