Wellness Navigator

Hello! I’m Kakky, the Wellness Navigator for the William Magee Center. I assist students in accessing campus wellness resources, collaborating with partners like the Student Health Center, UMatter, University Counseling Center, Clinic for Outreach & Personal Enrichment, and Violence Intervention & Prevention. I also assist with connecting students to higher levels of care. I oversee WellChat responses and coordinate with Certified Peer Educators, who are dedicated to supporting fellow students with wellness in college.

RebelADE

RebelADE is a student-centered, alcohol and drug education program designed to help students develop a healthy lifestyle by recognizing and reducing the potential harm associated with their alcohol or other substance use.

  • We use an assessment tool to develop an individualized plan for each student to help sharpen their skills and possibly introduce a few new ones they can use in their everyday life.

Our goal is for each student to use this individualized plan in the future to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. For more information about RebelADE, please email rebelade@olemiss.edu or call 662-915-6543.

Narcan Access

The William Magee Center has a supply of Narcan (naloxone), a medicine that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Narcan is safe, relatively easy to administer, and lifesaving.

  • Our supply is available to students, faculty, and staff free of charge, and we will not collect any personal information about individuals who request Narcan.
  • If you or someone you know may be exposed to an opioid overdose, we encourage you to stop by the William Magee Center during office hours to receive a free box.
  • Instructions on how to use this medication properly are included with each box. Watch the Narcan training video here.
  • Harbor Path partnered with Ole Miss and the William Magee Center to help spread this important message:

  • Our supply of Narcan is supported by the Missisissippi State Department of Health and a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant.
