Freedom Fellows

Fellows promote a campus culture that encourages reflection on the meaning, value, and legacy of American freedom.

Freedom Fellowships

Each year, the Declaration of Independence Center for the Study of American Freedom sponsors a number of student Freedom Fellows.  Fellows work to promote an academic campus culture that encourages reflection on the meaning, value, and legacy of American freedom.  Each Freedom Fellow is given a stipend to fund a special project proposed by the student.  The fellowship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and complete a special project
  • Participate in the Declaration Center reading group
  • Share his or her perspective with other students, faculty, and administrators in an official capacity (participate in a student panel, serve on a university committee, etc.)
