Meet CETL's Graduate Teaching Fellows!

What kinds of courses do you currently teach or hope to teach in the future?

I currently teach English literature survey courses like English 220 (literary history) and 224 (American literature post-Civil War). I really enjoy contemporary fiction and hope to teach American literature going forward.

What is your favorite part of teaching or TAing?

My favorite part of teaching is the moment when students feel comfortable sharing that they are challenged but confident (or at least curious/up for the challenge). I like hearing that they are trying something new and feel supported in doing so.

What are you most looking forward to during your time as a Graduate Teaching Fellow with CETL?

I am excited to connect with other graduate students on topics like working with AI in the classroom, designing interactive lessons, and creating authentic assignments. It's fun to hear about others' teaching experiences and build community around teaching.
