Recognizing the outstanding work of our staff members and teams.
EEO Category Awards
The EEO Category Awards were created to recognize the outstanding staff members from EEO categories 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. EEO Category winners will receive a monetary award and plaque, which will be presented at the Staff Appreciation Awards Ceremony.
Eligibility:
- Active, permanent, full-time UM employee
- One year of continuous service in a classified EEO category 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7
- Consistently going above and beyond in service to UM

Overall Outstanding Staff of the Year
The Overall Outstanding Staff of the Year Award was created to recognize and honor the dedication and outstanding contributions by a University of Mississippi staff member. The Overall Staff Member of the Year winner will receive a monetary award and plaque which will be presented at the Staff Appreciation Awards Ceremony.
Eligibility:
- Active, permanent, full-time UM employee
- One year of continuous service in a classified EEO category 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7
- Consistently going above and beyond in service to UM

Daniel W. Jones Outstanding Team Service Award
The Daniel W. Jones Outstanding Team Service Award was created to recognize and honor the dedication and outstanding contributions by a University of Mississippi team of employees. The Outstanding Team Service Award winner will receive a plaque, which will be presented at the Staff Appreciation Awards Ceremony.
Eligibility
- Active, permanent, full-time UM employee
- Groups of two or more UM staff members working together toward a common goal or mission
- Consistently going above and beyond in service to UM
