Dean's Office

The Office of the Dean serves as the overarching administrative unit at the UM School of Education. With more than $13 million in external research funding and a presence at five campuses throughout North Mississippi, the School of Education is home to more than 1,700 undergraduate and/or graduate students and 106 faculty members.

In the past two years, our office has spearheaded initiatives to establish innovative new programs such as the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program as well as new curricula in early childhood education, health and physical activity and more. As Mississippi’s largest producer of teachers and educational leaders, the school has been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Mississippi Department of Education since 1954.
