The University of Mississippi is committed to the provision of reasonable accommodations and modifications to university students with disabilities, staff and faculty, and visitors to campus on an individualized and flexible basis as mandated in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

In January 2010, the chancellor of the University of Mississippi reaffirmed the university's commitment to students, staff and visitors with disabilities.  In accordance with the goals and creed of the University of Mississippi, and to further support a campus rich in diversity, the university will encourage excellence, inclusion and respect for the dignity of those with disabilities and will recognize and promote the value of individual differences.

To Report a Web Accessibility Barrier

If you identify a barrier to accessing information on any of the university's websites, please report it by using the Digital Accessibility reporting form or by emailing accessibilty@olemiss.edu. It would be helpful to include a link to the page where you have encountered the accesibility barrier, information about the problem you are experiencing, and any neccesary details about the device(s) you are using.

All information provided is confidential and will only be used to communicate issues with website owners and to keep those who report issues up-to-date.

Visitors with Disabilities

Visitors to campus who may need assistance because of a disability should contact the department or organization sponsoring the event or the visit. For instance, a visitor on campus for Spring Visit Day will contact the Admission’s Office for assistance; a visitor attending an event at the Gertrude Ford Center will contact that facility, etc. Visitors can also contact the Office of Student Disability Services and the Office of Equal Opportunity & Regulatory Compliance for assistance and referral.
