Biography
Autumn earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Arkansas State University in May 2024, graduating summa cum laude. During her time at A-State, she was an active performer in the Wind Ensemble, Rosewood Quartet, Howlers Pep Band, Clarinet Studio, Horn Studio, and the Arkansas Intercollegiate Band. She served as mellophone section leader in the Sound of the Natural State Marching Band and held several leadership roles in Tau Beta Sigma, including President, Vice President of Membership, Historian, and Corresponding Secretary. Autumn also served as President of the NAfME chapter, was a member of the Chancellor’s Leadership Class and the Honors College, and acted as a Music Ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts. In recognition of her academic achievements, she received both the Top Graduating Music Education Award and the Chancellor’s Scholar Award, given to the top student in the College of Liberal Arts. She has experience teaching private clarinet lessons, leading sectionals, and assisting with marching fundamentals, instructing clarinet, flute, saxophone, and mellophone across multiple Arkansas school districts. Currently, Autumn is a second-year graduate student at the University of Mississippi, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music Education. As a graduate assistant for the band program, she plays an active role in all aspects of operations, including assisting with rehearsals, organizing auditions, coordinating recruiting efforts, conducting the women’s basketball band, leading the LOU Summer Community Band, and supporting both concert and athletic bands. She is excited to continue her role as one of the Graduate Assistants for the Ole Miss Bands!
