Biography
Christopher Hancock received his Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Mississippi in 2023. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in choral conducting. His academic and musical interests blend his foundation in classics with a deep engagement in choral artistry, especially in exploring the historical and cultural contexts of vocal music. During his undergraduate years, Christopher was actively involved in a wide range of both instrumental and vocal ensembles, gaining valuable experience in performance, collaboration, and leadership. His time in these ensembles helped shape his approach to conducting, emphasizing musical sensitivity and clear communication. As a graduate assistant in the choral department, Christopher supports the choral program through rehearsal preparation, administrative work, and student engagement. He is committed to fostering a positive and enriching musical environment and continues to develop his skills as a conductor, scholar, and educator.
