Lydia Davis
Biography
Lydia Davis is a second year MM student and graduate assistant in Choral Conducting at the University of Mississippi. Lydia just recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi, receiving her Bachelor’s in Music Education (vocal concentration). During her time as an undergraduate at the university, Lydia was heavily involved in the university’s student chapter of ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) where she now serves as president. Most recently, Lydia was awarded Most Outstanding Undergraduate in Music Education Vocal and nominated into the ETA Nu chapter of Phi Kappa Lambda. Lydia’s favorite thing about Ole Miss Choirs is the “exceptional atmosphere where everyone is there to make music and friends.” Lydia’s favorite memory from her time in the UM choir is when the Concert Singers had the opportunity to perform in La Madeleine cathedral in Paris, France. Lydia is looking forward to continuing her education through the University of Mississippi and receiving the opportunity to work with the University of Mississippi Choirs.
