Sofia Euyoque
Biography
Sofia Euyoque, first-generation Mexican-American, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi with her Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Music Education. As an undergraduate, she was an active member of the University of Mississippi Wind Ensemble, performing on bass clarinet and clarinet, and a member of the Clarinet Studio. She also was an active member in the Pride of the South Marching Band, where she marched clarinet, served as a section leader, and served as one of the Drum Majors in the fall of 2024. Beyond her musical involvement, she held ambassador positions for the Luckyday Scholars Program, and through the College of Liberal Arts, for the Department of Music. Euyoque has worked with several school districts across Mississippi as band camp staff and continues to teach drum major private lessons and camps/trainings. She completed her student teaching at Lewisburg High and Middle Schools at the end of her undergraduate experience. Sofia Euyoque is a first-year graduate student at the University of Mississippi, where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music Education and is excited to serve as one of the Graduate Assistants for the Ole Miss Bands.
