Move-In
Fall 2026 Move-in is Saturday, August 15, Sunday, August 16 and Monday, August 17. Classes begin on Monday, August 24.
General Information
- Every student will be required to have a move-in appointment in order to complete the online check-in process and move into their assigned residence hall or apartment. Students without a move-in appointment, or students arriving prior to their move-in appointment, will not be permitted to move-in. There will be no exceptions.
- You will need your student ID. Your student ID serves as your building and room key. If you do not have one, go to the student ID center prior to arrival to your building.
- Students will utilize online check-in to check themselves into their room or apartment. Once you have arrived on campus during your designated move-in appointment time, login to the Student Housing Portal and select Check-in from the red menu bar. Once you have completed the online check-in process, access to your room will be activated on your student ID.
- Students will receive emails to their Ole Miss Gmail throughout the summer with specific details on the move-in process. Please make sure you are checking that email for the most up-to-date information.
Move-in 2026
Fall 2026 Move-in is Saturday, August 15, Sunday, August 16 and Monday, August 17. Classes begin on Monday, August 24.
Move-in for registered Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment participants will be Monday, August 10, Tuesday, August 11, and Wednesday, August 12.
Move-in for Master Lease Apartments will be Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14 .
Due to ongoing construction surrounding some of our buildings, move-in for Burns Hall & Pittman Hall will be on Thursday, August 13.
Move-in appointments will be utilized for all University owned and managed communities. Every student will need a move-in appointment, regardless of their move-in day and room assignment. All move-in appointments will be pre-assigned by Student Housing based on the student’s room assignment (building and floor within the building). Appointment times will be emailed to students in early July, once room change is no longer available.
USS 2026 Locations
USS, a company specializing in move-in processes and logistics, is an Ole Miss partner and will be providing assistance to students living in the locations listed below. All other locations will have university volunteers providing assistance.
