'Welcome Home' New Employee Orientation

Our orientation program offers new employees the chance to connect with University leadership, learn about our rich history, and discover what makes the University special. This program provides an introduction to the University’s mission, vision and culture, with a unique focus on the connection between Ole Miss Athletics and the broader community.

LEAD Series

LEAD: Lead Yourself
This one-day program is designed to help employees enhance their self-management skills, which are essential for improving work performance. It is highly recommended for all non-supervisory employees and focuses on both personal development and professional growth.

LEAD: Lead Your Team
This program is tailored for supervisors and managers to develop the skills needed to effectively lead teams at the University of Mississippi. Whether you're a new manager or seeking to refine your leadership abilities, this course provides the essential tools for supervising with confidence and professionalism.

Performance Review Overview for All Employees and Supervisors – Every staff member contributes to the overall success of our University. The performance review process includes setting clearly defined objectives (individual goals), ongoing coaching (formal and informal), and highlighting success while emphasizing the importance of follow-through. This process aligns with the University?s mission, specifically providing opportunities for learning, discovery, and engagement. This session will provide an overview of the year-long process and an explanation of how the personalized objectives and value-based competencies are weighted and rated on the semi-annual review. We will also discuss the new review period and the new review process. All employees and supervisors are invited to register for this session.
