What is Music Major Advantage?

The Music Major Advantage (MMA) is an initiative to give incoming music majors the largest scholarship package possible. Through MMA, the department aggregates scholarships and financial awards from across campus and adds funding from all areas of the Department of Music, including ensembles, to make one competitive package offer: the Music Major Advantage.

Since 2020, we have been awarding a record number of packages representing full tuition with smaller scholarships also available. Exact funding amounts vary from student to student as each MMA scholarship package is individually tailored. MMA scholarships are available to both undergraduate and graduate music students.

All students must be admitted to the University of Mississippi to be considered for scholarships.
