- Staff Low Option*: Available to employees with an annual salary of less than $37,000 (verified by HR).
- Residential Permits: Includes all on-campus residential facilities, such as Campus Walk, Residential Garage, and East, Central, West, Northwest, and South permits.
- Residential Overflow*: Remote parking at the Jackson Avenue Center (North) and the South Campus Recreation Center (South). North permits are only allowed at the JAC and South permits are only allowed at the SCRC. No parking in any other zone Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM. No Game-Day Access.

Citation Appeals - Hearing Procedures
If you receive a parking or driving violation at The University of Mississippi, you have 7 business days to appeal the fine.
- Appeals are handled by the Faculty/Staff Appeals Board.
- Submit appeals through the My Parking Account portal within 7 business days.
- In-Person Appeal: First, submit an online appeal, then email parking@olemiss.edu to arrange a Zoom meeting with the Faculty/Staff Appeals Board.
- Fees: A $5 processing fee applies if denied.
- Decisions are final.
- Appeals are handled by the Student Appeals Board.
- Use the My Parking Account online portal to start the appeal.
- Steps to appeal:
- Log in to My Parking Account with your UM web ID.
- Go to Citations (email parking@olemiss.edu if it’s missing).
- Select Appeal and follow instructions.
- Choose between:
- Online Appeal (submit text & attachments, decision via email).
- In-Person Appeal (appear before the Student Appeals Board within 10 business days, no appointment needed).
- Meeting Times: Monday-Wednesday, 1 PM - 4 PM (Student Union, Room 332).
- Fees: A $5 processing fee applies if the appeal is denied. The fine will be added to your Bursar account.
- Decisions are final.
- In-Person: Appeal at the Department of Parking & Transportation (Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM).
- By Email: If you can’t appear in person, email parking@olemiss.edu with your citation, vehicle info, and reason for appeal.
- Students: In-person appeals are only on Wednesdays, 1 PM - 3:30 PM.
- Faculty & Staff: Arrange a Zoom meeting via parking@olemiss.edu.
- If requesting an in-person appeal, note it in your appeal description so the UPD officer can be present.
