The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Dr. Simonchyk obtained her B.A. in Modern Languages from Minsk State Linguistic University (2003), M.A. in TESOL from St. Cloud State University (2010), and her dual Ph.D. in Second Language Studies and Slavic Linguistics from Indiana University (2017). Her research interests focus on second language speech processing, experimental phonetics, listening comprehension, and pronunciation instruction. In her dissertation, funded by the Neatrour- Edgerton Dissertation Fellowship and REEI/Mellon Endowment Student Grant-in- Aid of Research, Dr. Simonchyk investigated how the phonological domains of perception, production, lexical encoding, and orthography interact with each other in the acquisition of L2 phonologies. Her dissertation research has been featured in the journal Language and Speech. Dr. Simonchyk has been teaching languages, English and Russian, since 2002. She has been a certified ACTFL OPI rater of Russian since 2013. At the University of Mississippi, Dr. Simonchyk has previously taught in the Russian program. Currently, she is teaching linguistics courses to graduate and undergraduate students.
