Brief Bio
Andy Paney is Associate Professor of Elementary Music Education. His research interests include aural skills instruction, technology in learning, and teaching primary music. His works have been published in top-ranked journals including Journal of Research in Music Education, Journal of Music Teacher Education, Psychology of Music, Update: Applications of Research in Music Education, and International Journal of Music Education. He is especially interested in teaching music reading and writing and presents on this topic at conferences and workshops. His leadership roles include President of the Southern Division of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators, President of Kodaly Mississippi, and he serves on the editorial board of the Kodaly Envoy.
