Biography
Dr. Allyn Cascio is an Instructional Associate Professor of Management. She earned her Ph.D. in marketing from Mississippi State University, MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and bachelor of accountancy from The University of Mississippi. Allyn teaches digital marketing courses in the Entrepreneurship program, focusing on necessary skills for entrepreneurial and small business success in today’s highly competitive marketplace. She also teaches introductory marketing courses, where students with a variety of career interests learn to appreciate the vital role that marketing plays in optimizing organizational strategy.
Dr. Cascio’s research interests include customer-frontline employee interactions, retailer strategy, and issues surrounding retailer self-service technology implementation. She has published in a variety of highly regarded journals, including the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Journal of Retailing, and the Journal of Services Marketing. Allyn also serves as a member of the School of Business Administration’s Entrepreneurship Committee, our representative on the University’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Board, and a member of the Management Department’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation committee.
