Lucile M McCook
Brief Bio
Dr. Lucile McCook is Instructional Professor, Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies and Curator of the Pullen Herbarium at UM. She received her Ph.D. (Plant Systematics) Bailey Hortorium, Cornell University in 1989 and was a postdoctural fellow at the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC from 1989-1990. Dr. McCook has been at UM since 1993 & taught Botany, non-majors Biology & freshman Biology for science majors (BISC 160 & 162). Dr. McCook currently teaches a graduate level Plant Taxonomy course (BISC 532) and is the Director of the University of Mississippi Biology Bootcamp, a 5 day intensive academic program to prepare freshmen to succeed in freshman biology for science majors.
