I serve as a professor in the P2 and P3 years, am involved with our PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program in preceptorship and leadership, serve as a preceptor for PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residents, assist APhA-ASP as a co-advisor on the Jackson Campus, and contribute to scholarship in areas of diabetes and scholarship of teaching and learning.

Biography
Dr. Courtney Davis obtained her PGY1 Community Residency Certificate from the School of Pharmacy in 2011 and came on faculty following her residency program as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy. She was promoted and is now at an Associate Professor level. She teaching heavily in the Endocrine Module during P2 year and contributes to Skills Lab, IPE, and MCPC in the P3 years. She also serves as a preceptor in ambulatory care, where she practices in a private diabetes clinic, Vigilant Health: Diabetes Care. She also serves as course director for a diabetes elective course in P3 year.
In the last decade she has served as course director in the Problem Based Learning course from the previous curriculum. She has served local organizations in varies leadership roles including serving as President of the Mississippi Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (MSPH). In 2021 she was recognized at UMMC as the Nelson Order inductee for the School of Pharmacy and a candidate for the Teach Prize. She is board certified in Ambulatory Care and enjoys research and scholarship around diabetes management as well as the scholarship of teaching and learning.
