The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Gail Herrera was appointed Assistant Dean for Technical Services & Automation at the University of Mississippi in 2004 after serving as Interim Assistant Dean in 2003. Ms. Herrera was the Electronic Services Librarian at the University of Alabama before joining the University of Mississippi Libraries as Head of Library Technology in 1999. She earned her MA in Anthropology from the University of Mississippi and an MLIS from Louisiana State University. As Assistant Dean for Technical Services & Automation, Ms. Herrera manages and provides leadership for Technical Services which includes cataloging, continuing resources, acquisitions, accounting, electronic resources and government documents processing. As the only Assistant Dean in the libraries (2004-2013), she performed administrative functions including report writing, assessment, personnel management as well as leads and facilitates projects, planning and communication across the library organization in areas related to collection development, technical services, automation and electronic resources Ms. Herrera has authored and presented on many library areas including library technology, automation, Interlibrary Loan, acquisitions, assessment and collection development at the regional, national and international levels. She has served in a number of professional organizations and completed Harvard's Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians in 2010.
