The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Dr. Julie James assumed the role of Professional Development Coordinator for the Univeristy of Mississippi Center for Mathematics and Science Education in July 2011. As the PD Coordinator, Dr. James planned, organized, facilitated and provided oversight to all professional development opportunities available through the CMSE. In 2018, Dr. James was named Assistant Director of Professional Learning for CMSE. In this new role, she serves on the administrative team of the CMSE and guides the work of all adult learning opportunities including mathematics & science professional development and the CMSE Graduate Fellowship program. She continues to facilitate professional development activities and provides leadership for grant funded projects that support STEM team professional growth. Dr. James received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction - Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Mississippi in May 2011. She also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from Mississippi University for Women.
