Biography
Janet Dickens serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Charter Road Hospitality, Inc., where she has been employed since 2013. Throughout her tenure, she has held various roles, including legal counsel and Chief Financial Officer. Janet oversees human resources functions, standardizes operating procedures, and leads the company's growth and sustainability strategies.
From 2020 to 2022, Janet served as the Assistant Director of Communications and Special Projects at the Mississippi Small Business Development Center, where she managed communications and programming for the COVID-19 response and other specialized projects aimed at small business recovery and growth.
Janet holds a BSBA in Accounting, a Juris Doctor, and an LL.M. in Taxation, and she is licensed to practice law in Mississippi. She currently teaches business law and entrepreneurial law as an adjunct professor at the University of Mississippi School of Business. She has also taught Business Communications and Placement and Selection. Additionally, Janet is a member of the advisory board for the Nutrition and Hospitality Department at the University of Mississippi School of Applied Sciences and serves as the Treasurer of the United Way of Oxford-Lafayette County.
