Joel Mobley

Dr. Joel Mobley is an Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Mississippi. He is also a Senior Scientist II in the Jamie Whitten National Center for Physical Acoustics at UM.

Research Interests

Dr. Mobley's specializations include biomedical ultrasonics, opto-acoustics, and physical acoustics.

Biography

Dr. Mobley earned his Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory at Oak Ridge, TN from 1997-2004. Then, he was a Research Physicist with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory at Adelphi, MD (2004-2005). He joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi in 2005.

Dr. Mobley is a member of the Acoustical Society of America, American Physical Society, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
