Jeffery M Johnson

Biography

Dr. Jeffery Johnson has been a member of the UM faculty since 2005. He is certified as an Expert Gang Specialist by the National Gang Crime Research Center and is a former police officer with the Kansas Highway Patrol- Capitol Police.

He is currently Deputized with the Tunica County Sheriff's Office where he serves as a Part-Time Training Instructor/Deputy. Dr. Johnson coordinates the criminal justice offerings at the Regional Campuses in Southaven, Tupelo, Grenada, and Booneville.

Dr. Johnson received both his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and his Masters of Criminal Justice from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas. He continued his education and received a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security from Texas A&M and his Doctorate of Professional Studies from Delta State University.

Dr. Johnson lives in Oxford with his wife and three daughters and is a Methodist Minister. Outside of work, Dr. Johnson is busy making sure his children get to where they need to go. He has been married to the love of his life, Lindy, for 25 years.
