Brief Bio
Bradley W. Jones is Associate Professor of Biology. Dr. Jones received his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1993 under the guidance of William McGinnis. Following five years working as an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow with Corey Goodman at the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Jones took a position as Assistant Professor of Molecular Neurobiology at the Skirball Institute, New York University School of Medicine. In 2004 he joined the Biology Department at the University of Mississippi and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. Dr. Jones has published many papers on the molecular genetics of nervous system development in the fruit fly, Drosophila. He has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Jones teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in cell, molecular, and developmental biology.
