Biography
John P. Berns, Ph.D., is a School of Business Fellow and Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi.
He has taught Corporate Innovation (ENT 446), Management of Strategic Planning (MGMT 493), Principles of Management (MGMT 371), and Project Management for PMI Certification (ENT 411). In his courses, he challenges students to further develop their business knowledge, critical thinking skills, and communication ability in order to effectively understand and evaluate real-world business situations.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship and strategy. His work has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Group and Organization Management, Financial Review, Gender in Management, Journal of Strategy and Management, Technology in Society, and Venture Capital.
He earned his B.A. from the University of Iowa, M.B.A. from Iowa State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
