Brief Bio
Joseph P. Sweeney is the Director of the Mississippi Teacher Corps, Program Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program, and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Sweeney received his Ed.D. from the University of Memphis in 2015. He received his Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi in 2006 and is an alumnus of the Mississippi Teacher Corps. He taught for six years in Mississippi Public Schools and also spent a year teaching conversational English in Japan. His research interests include authentic learning tasks, educational technology, and teacher training.
