The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Dr. Cao is professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Mississippi. He has close to 20 years of experience in academic research and teaching at Universities. He had also worked with Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NY) and Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (NJ) as an intern and research associate. His research interests include image processing (with focus of image compression and transmission) and digital signal processing for wireless communications (with focus of adaptive filter design, error control coding, turbo decoding, OFDM and MIMO systems). Dr. Cao has more than 100 technical publications in the related areas. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of Sigma Xi. He serves on the editorial board of Journal of Multimedia and has served as a technical committee member and session chair for some international conferences. He is a reviewer for numerous IEEE journals and conferences and was a panelist for NSF proposal review.
