Laurie Warrington Fleming

Laurie Fleming serves as the Director of Professional Experience Programs and Experiential Affairs for the School of Pharmacy, and manages students' rotational experiences.

Research Interests

Dr. Fleming's general research interests include Scholarship related to Teaching and Learning, most commonly focused on both Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) and Practice-Readiness.

Biography

Dr. Fleming is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Professional Experience Programs and Experiential Affairs with the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She completed a Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) Residency in Ambulatory Care at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2008 and subsequently developed a pharmacist-led, inpatient diabetes management consult service at Mississippi Baptist Health Systems (2008-2010). More recently, she practiced at the G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center in Canton, Mississippi (2011-2017) and the University of Mississippi Medical Center Endocrinology Clinic in Jackson, Mississippi (2017-2018). During this time, she also served as the Director of the University of Mississippi PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program. Dr. Fleming is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) and a Fellow of the American Association of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP).
