Brief Bio
Merv Matthew is Instructional Associate Professor of Psychology. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2010. Following a year as a visiting assistant professor at DePauw University, Merv joined the Psychology Department at the University of Mississippi and moved to Oxford in August, 2011. Merv's research interests combine cognitive, social, and evolutionary psychology, focusing on how our social identities affect the process by which we make decisions. His teaching interests include introductory psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, research methods, and statistics.
