Brief Bio
Nicolaas Prins is Assistant Professor of Psychology. Dr. Prins received a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1999. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Prins took a position as a post-doctoral fellow at Deakin University in Melbourne Australia (1999-2001), followed by another post-doctoral position at McGill University in Montreal, Canada (2001-2003). Dr. Prins joined the Psychology Department at the University of Mississippi in September of 2003. Dr. Prins studies early visual processes as well as psychophysical methods and has published in numerous journals. Dr. Prins teaches courses in statistics and cognitive psychology (both at the undergraduate and graduate level).
