Brief Bio
Rory Ledbetter is Associate Professor of Theatre Arts. Mr. Ledbetter received his MFA in Directing from Florida State University. He is a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. He has served as Chair and Past Chair of the Voice & Speech Committee of the Southeastern Theatre Conference. He has written and produced and toured two solo shows, A Mind Full of Dopamine and The Road to Santiago. In particular, A Mind Full of Dopamine has won The Steve Sauve Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Ottawa Fringe Festival, The Westey Award for Best Performance at the Calgary Fringe Festival and the Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Vancouver International Fringe Festival. Mr. Ledbetter's stage credits include the Outdoor Drama Tecumseh!, Oxford Shakespeare Festival, Pasadena Shakespeare in the Park, and IO West. He is represented for film and television in the southeast by East Coast Talent Agency, and he recently finished filming a project for television. Mr. Ledbetter teaches undergraduate courses in acting for stage and screen, voice for the actor, voice-over acting, and improvisation.
