Rachel Greenspan

Biography

Dr. Greenspan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Legal Studies at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). She is a social psychologist studying topics at the intersection of psychology and the legal system. Her research focuses on eyewitness identifications and the development and persistence of false memories.

Rachel’s research has been published in empirical journals such as Law and Human Behavior and Memory and Cognition and has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Newkirk Center for Science and Society. Before arriving in Oxford, she received her Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine in 2018 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 2020.
