Brief Bio
Shane Robbins is a faculty lecturer and serves as the BSW Program Director within the department of Social Work. He holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee (2001), a Master's Degree in Religion from Liberty University (2011), a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southeastern University (1993), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare (expected graduation 2022). Shane is licensed as a Master's Level Social Worker in the state of Mississippi. He has over 25 years of experience in the social services field, working for years as a mental health therapist and in various administrative roles. He has directed program services at both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Before coming to Ole Miss, he served as the CEO and administrator for a behavioral- health company that served over 200 children annually. He has also worked in foster care programs, drug addictions treatment, and home based intervention programs.
