Brief Bio
Todd A. Smitherman, Ph.D., FAHS, is Professor and Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Smitherman has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, two books, and numerous book chapters pertaining to psychiatric comorbidities and behavioral issues in migraine and other headache disorders. His research been supported by the Migraine Research Foundation, Merck Pharmaceuticals, and the University of Mississippi. Dr. Smitherman is a Fellow of the American Headache Society and has served as a consultant for the National Institutes of Health.
