Brief Bio
Tamar L. Goulet is a Professor of Biology. Dr. T. Goulet received her Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1999. She then spent 1.5 years as a post-doctorate fellow at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in Florida. In 2001 Dr. T. Goulet joined the Biology Department at the University of Mississippi and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. Dr. T. Goulet has published numerous papers on the symbioses between cnidarians (e.g. corals, octocorals, sea anemones) and their mutualistic algae. She has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA and NOAA. Dr. T. Goulet teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in various aspects of biology. She received the Cora Lee Graham Award for Outstanding Teaching of Freshman in 2008.
