Biography
Amanda Alpert Jessee, Ed.D. is a dedicated higher education professional with extensive experience in collegiate recreation and student affairs. Dr. Jessee holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from the University of Mississippi and both a Master of Arts in Sport Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Central Michigan University. In addition to serving in an adjunct teaching capacity, Dr. Jessee serves as Associate Director of Campus Recreation at the University of Mississippi, where she has worked with a broad portfolio of programs including outdoors, fitness, marketing, intramural sports, sport clubs, athletic training, and summer youth camps. Dr. Jessee has been actively involved in professional organizations, including NIRSA, NASPA, and Special Olympics, presenting at numerous conferences and workshops, co-authoring a Campus Recreation Essentials publication, and serving on a multitude of committees and work teams. Her professional and scholarly contributions center on collegiate recreation, student leadership and development, and co-curricular learning.
